photographic Equipment and Techniques The photographs in this series of Alaskan images were made with both film and digital cameras. The film shots were made with Nikon equipment (Nikon F100 and Nikkor lenses, usually 80-200 mm f/2.8 zoom with a 2x extender) on Kodak royal Supra 400 film and developed normally by a commercial processor. The digital images were made with a Canon 10D camera and (mostly) a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS lens. Wider angle digital images were made with a Canon 28-70 f/3.5 lens. No tripod was used (by mistake!) so all Canon images made with the long lens were image-stabilized. For those interested in comparisons, the film images have "film" in the name accessed by right-clicking over the image and then clicking on properties. The digital images have only a four-digit identifying number in the name revealed by the same method.
