Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus)

& Homo sapiens

This fine fellow wanted to see what was going on in the tundra train. No snow on the ground (obviously) and no ice on the bay, so he wasn't about to go seal hunting. What to do on a slow day in the (sub)Arctic? Check out the tourists! Tundra train cars are like the tundra buggies: built high, so you're quite safe as long as you don't deliberately reach down to one of these guys. Wheels are about 6 feet in diameter, impervious (apparently) to bear bites. Viewing platforms on the train cars permit clear views of the animals.
